Eileen Bernardy Obituary

Eileen Bernardy, Montevideo, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 77.

Graveside services will be held in April 2021.

Eileen Bernardy was born in the Twin Cities on February 20, 1943 to Earl and Virginia Doble. She grew up in the Twin Cities and attended school at South High. Eileen worked in retail in the Twin Cities first at Woolworths and then at JC Penney in the Southdale Mall. She retired and moved to Montevideo in 2011. Eileen entered Luther Haven Nursing Home in 2017.

Eileen enjoyed reading puzzles and watching TV shows and movies. Some of her favorites were Medium, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Gone With the Wind and other old time shows. She cherished her time spent with her dog, Dozer and her grand dog Molly.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Shannon Eddy, Montevideo; grand dog; Molly; brothers: Tom (Pat) Doble, Mike (Karen) Doble, Earl(Kathy) Doble, Steve (Maggie) Doble, Tim Doble; sisters: Carol Doble, Bunni Labins, Linda Baker, Becky (Tony) Midthun; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Bernardy; sons: John Paul Bernardy, Aaron Bernardy; siblings: Ronnie Doble, Terry Doble, Joann Salten, Helen Burroughs, and Lee Doble.
