Elnore Lucille Neraasen was born to Hans and Hannah (Strand) Neraasen May 5, 1924, in Dawson, at her Strand grandparents' home. She was baptized in Dawson by her great uncle, Reverend James Strand and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. On June 14, 1942, she married Norval Bergeson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd and together they raised four children, encouraging them and attending all their school and church activities.

Elnore was active in Homemakers' groups and served as both a 4-H and Girl Scout leader. She taught Sunday School and was very active in GLCW, as well as singing in both Church and Couples' Choir at Grace Lutheran Church. Music, gardening, canning, embroidery, crochet, quilting and in her later years, watching the Minnesota Twins, were all very important to her. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Red Cross Blood Drives and Dawson Mills Pancake Breakfasts.

Norval and Elnore traveled twice to Norway, as well as to Japan and Sweden to maintain family ties. They enjoyed retirement winters in Florida with new and established friends and summer camping with family and friends in Minnesota. Their grandkids fondly remember time together spent playing cards, shaking dice, shooting Carroms and playing Dominoes. Their home was always a gathering spot for their kids and all their friends, enjoying her good home baking and cooking.

She is survived by her children: Pat (Ron) Jordahl of Minnetrista, MN, Don (Robin) of Johns Island, SC, LuAnn (Larry) Dahl of Sioux Falls, SD, and Sheila (Kevin) Warner of Morris, MN; grandchildren: Larissa (John) Sundell, Derek (Chantelle) Jordahl, Margit (Ryan) Vogrinec, Jen (Walter) Schaefer, Scott Dahl, Levi (Bethany) Windingstad, Isaac (fiance, Karina Gonzalez) Windingstad; great grandchildren: Taylor (Dylan) Wells, Jory (Josh) Potter, Nick Sundell, Tyler, Haley and Emma Jordahl, Hailey and Alex Vogrinec, Sidney and Anders Schaefer, Carter and Eliza Dahl, Theo and Willa Windingstad; special foreign exchange daughter, Karin Hedberg (Mehrdad) from Stockholm, Sweden; brother-in-law, Stan (Betty) Bergeson; sister-in-law, Karen Bergeson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Elnore was preceded in death by her parents; mother- and father-in-law, Minnie and Brainerd Bergeson; her husband, Norval; sisters: Swanhild (Don) Vannatter, Rosie (Harley) Varpness, Avis (Marv) Evenson, Glenice Neraasen; brothers, Harold (Eileen) Neraasen and Harlan (Alitrice) Neraasen; brothers-in-law: Burdell (Edna) Bergeson, Franklin (Jean) Bergeson and Myles Bergeson.

Elnore wanted to be remembered for enjoying family and friends.
