Georgia "Lynn" Jacobs

Georgia Lynn Jacobs died Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 78.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home.

Private family service will be held.

Georgia Lynn (Charter) Jacobs was born July 5, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of George and Avis (Gronholz) Charter.  The family moved to Hopkins, MN in 1946.  She moved with her family to Montevideo in 1955 and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1961.  Lynn was united in marriage with Paul “Buck” Jacobs on May 25, 1968.  They made their home in Montevideo and she worked as a secretary at NSP Power Company before becoming a full-time homemaker to raise her 3 children.  As the children grew, she worked part-time as a clerk at Red Owl Grocery, as a kitchen assistant in nutrition services at Montevideo Public Schools and as a care assistant at Copper Glen senior assisted living facility.  She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, crocheting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved having her family together, especially at the lake cabin.  

She is survived by her husband, Buck; three children: Melissa (Bryce Curtiss) Erp of Montevideo, MN, Michael (Darcie) Jacobs of Mankato, MN and Melanie (Randy) Schmidt of Lonsdale, MN; grandchildren: Meghan and Justin Erp, Sullivan and Hudson Jacobs, Leighton, Eliza, and Aviana Schmidt, Abigail Starcevic and Casey Schmidt, son in law Jason Erp,  two sisters: Betty (Willy) Marban of Oconomowoc, WI and Sandra "Kaki" Campbell of Clinton, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Appleton Cemetery.  Memorials may be sent to Lynn Jacobs Family, C/O Melissa Erp, PO box 282, Montevideo, MN 56265
