Katheryne Ann Tanhoff

Katheryne Tanhoff of Montevideo, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at her home in Montevideo at the age of 73.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd with Pastor Lori Wold officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo, with a prayer service at 6:45 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Katheryne Ann Tanhoff was born February 26, 1946 in Montevideo to Alvin and Helen (Steffenson) Knight. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.  Kaye attended and graduated from Boyd High School, and after graduation attended Granite Falls AVTI.  She was united in marriage to Barry Tanhoff on December 31, 1973 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd.  Kaye and Barry made their home in Montevideo.

Kaye was an office manager for over twenty years and had to travel quite often for work.  She also spent twenty-one years as a Chippewa County EMT.  Kaye enjoyed sewing, painting and any other type of craft work she could possibly do.  She had a real artistic skill and created many projects for her family and friends.  She also loved to play cards and was involved with many card clubs throughout her life.

Kaye is survived by her husband Barry; children, Ryan (Dede) Snyder of Monticello, MN, Roxanne Snyder of St. Cloud, MN, Tari (Kim) Tanhoff of Hopkins, MN, and Tad (Kami) Tanhoff of Montevideo, MN; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Booker of New Ulm, MN, Barbara Nilson of Vancouver, WA, and Susan Wenrick of Fort Collins, CO; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Knight and Helen Johnson; brother, Jerry Nilson; sisters, Gayle Nilson Burrow and Janice Nilson.
