Margaret Johnson Obituary

Margaret Johnson, wife of the late Harry Johnson, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, just a few months shy of 99 years old. She is happily in the arms of the Lord today.

Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020.  Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.  Arrangements are with Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home.

Margaret (Palke) Johnson was born February 5, 1922 in Omaha, NE the daughter of Fred and Emma (Newhouse) Palke.  She came to know Jesus as her Savior as a young girl when she acknowledged her need of Him and she accepted His sacrifice for her sins. She often stated that this was the most important decision of her life.  In 1946 she met and married the love of her life, Harry Johnson. They farmed in the Waterloo, NE area and later in Washington County, NE before moving to Chippewa County in 1958.  They were married for 55 wonderful years. Although she did work briefly in the defense industry in California, she was always happiest to be a stay at home wife and mom. She will always be remembered as a great mom, a wonderful grandma, and a good person who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Chris Runyan (and her husband John) of Montevideo, and her sons Stephen (and his wife Cindy) of Montevideo, Mark (and his wife Cindy) of Montevideo, Dave (and his wife Roxie) of Mesa , AZ , and Tim (and his wife Margaret) of Willmar, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She was also survived by her little dog, Cubby, who brought her so much joy in her later years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband Harry in 2001.

She will be greatly missed.
