Richard Duane Buseman was born June 10, 1953 in Montevideo, MN to William and Donna (Anderson) Buseman.  He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.  Richard attended and graduated from Montevideo High School.  After high school he took a youthful adventure to California where he spent time working in a furniture store with his uncle George.  He then moved back to Minnesota and worked at a lumber yard in Lake Elmo.  Richard eventually settled back in his hometown where he worked at Weckwerth Farms and M & M Ballroom, where he met Debra Norman.  They were united in marriage on March 18, 1978, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and together had three children.

Richard worked for Friendship Homes in Montevideo until his retirement.  During his work career, Richard also raised livestock, bailed hay and did handyman work by himself and with his brothers.  He was a jack of all trades and was always keeping busy, especially with his daily rounds. On Richard’s down time, he enjoyed watching westerns (between naps), especially John Wayne. Richard was a very generous person and was always willing to give a helping hand and put others before himself frequently.  He had a love for dogs and would spoil them as much as he spoiled his family, sometimes more.  Richard enjoyed his many camping trips with his family where they traveled to Games Lake and the Black Hills.

He is survived by his children, Andrew Buseman of Wegdahl, Barb (James Troxel) Buseman of Montevideo, and Cindy (Zach) Walter of Montevideo; grandchildren, Drew Huddleston (Fiancé, Santana), Evan Huddleston, Kylar Huddleston, Jaxen Huddleston, Justine Buseman, Danica Buseman, Nevaeh Berry, Levi Walter, and Nora Walter; one great-grandchild to be born; mother, Donna Buseman; brothers, Robert (Marcia) Buseman, Timothy (Jodi) Buseman, Randy (Karen) Buseman, Delos (Yvonne) Buseman and Joey (Karla) Buseman; dear friends, David Shemon, Wayne Karels and Mark Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, William; wife, Debra; and nephew, Christopher Buseman.
