Richard Thomas Hofseth

Richard Hofseth of Dawson, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, MN at the age of 70.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Richard Thomas Hofseth was born October 19, 1951 in St. Paul, MN to Sidney and Frances (Storlien) Hofseth.  He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.  Richard attended and graduated from John A Johnson High School in St. Paul, and after high school he entered the work force.  He lived in St. Paul, Indianapolis, IN and eventually settled in Dawson where he worked as a bartender at the VFW in Madison, MN.  Richard enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, playing cards and backgammon. 

He is survived by his sister, Wanda (Walter) Hofseth Thies of Slidell, LA; nephews, Christopher (Melissa) Thies and William (Amanda) Thies; great-nephew, Taylor Thies; great-niece, Morgan Thies; and other extended family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Frances.
