Robert Bunn Obituary

Robert Bunn, Montevideo, died on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 85.
 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Watson Lutheran Church with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the service.
 
Robert David Bunn was born on March 12, 1937 in Montevideo to David and Martha (Stokke) Bunn. He attended school in Montevideo. He served his country in the United States Army.  On August 12, 1967 Robert was united in marriage to Linda Hartke at Wood Lake Lutheran Church. They had four children together. The family lived and farmed in the Watson area for over 46 years.
 
Robert loved the farm life and everything about farming. His second love was music.  He played many instruments and sang. He was a member of two local bands, The Country Squires and Rockin Rebels and spent many weekends playing at local establishments as well as all over the state for wedding dances, anniversaries, and birthday parties.   Robert also enjoyed gardening and was usually seen selling his variety of vegetables at the farmer’s markets in Montevideo and Granite Falls.  In the community, Robert volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program delivering meals for over 15 years.
 
Robert is survived by his children: Susan (Todd) Meinders, Worthington, MN, Robert Jr (Theresa) Bunn, Forest Lake, MN, Randall Bunn, Willmar, MN, Ryan Bunn, Appleton, MN; 8 grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Joyce) Bunn; sister-in-law, Roberta Bunn; several nieces and nephews and extended family.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; wife Paulette; brother, Dean Bunn; and sister, Marion Bunn.
