Rosemary Pederson Obituary

Rosemary Pederson, of Montevideo, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 89.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Pastor Marie Eckberg officiating.  Burial will be in Jevnaker Lutheran Cemetery. 

Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service starting at 5:00 PM.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  

Rosemary Marie Pederson was born April 19,1929 at the Montevideo Hospital.  She was the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Stevens) Rosen.  She was baptized March 29, 1935 at home by the Rev. John Mason and confirmed May 28, 1944 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Montevideo.  She attended school in Montevideo.  On August 24, 1947 she was united in marriage to Milford Pederson at Our Saviors Lutheran parsonage in Montevideo by Rev. John Mason.  

Rosemary was born and raised in Montevideo, moving to a farm in Mandt Township in 1949.  She worked as a waitress for over 40 years at Trailways Café in Montevideo before retiring.  She was a member of Jevnaker Lutheran Church, Jevnaker WELCA and the VFW Auxiliary.  

Rosemary is survived by her son, Rod (Barb) Pederson of Montevideo; daughter, Charlene Bloch of Montevideo; grandchildren: Brad (Amy) Pederson of Montevideo, Brent (Amanda) Pederson of Redwood Falls and Ross (Carissa) Pederson of Clara City; great-grandchildren: Dalton, Mason and Brooklyn Pederson of Montevideo, Ali and Gage Pederson of Redwood Falls and Addisyn and Emersyn Pederson of Clara City; step-grandchildren: Cheryl Tovsen, Scott Bloch and Lori Heller; nine step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Everett (Lee) Rosen of Otsego, Wayne (Annette) Rosen of Clara City and Gale (Ardelle) Rosen of Raymond; sisters: Kay Rhode of Montevideo and Sharon (Gary) Anderson of Dawson; sister-in-law, Betty Rosen of Wayzata; as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; son-in-law, James Bloch; brothers, Clarence Rosen, Jr. and Merton Rosen; brothers-in-law, Dennis Rhode and Allen (Nicky) Barie; and step-grandson, Steve Bloch.
