Tom Williamson Obituary

Tom Williamson died Saturday, November 30, 2019 at CCM Health in Montevideo at the age of 71.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Saron Lutheran Church rural Montevideo.  Rev. Matt Danielson will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7.  There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the service.

Thomas Lloyd Williamson was born July 25, 1948 at Montevideo, MN the son of Lloyd and Doris (Bourne) Williamson.  He was baptized at the Methodist Church in Montevideo.  Tom graduated from Maynard High School in 1966 and then graduated from Granite Falls Vo-Tech.  He served in the US Air Force in Vietnam.  Tom was united in marriage with Karleen Siverhus August 4, 1972 at Saron Lutheran Church.  They lived in Maynard for a couple of years before moving to the farm near Maynard.  He worked for Thorstad Construction for 10 Years and J & D Construction/MidStates Millwrights for over 30 years building grain elevators, feed mills and fertilizer plants.  He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and Hawk Creek Saddle Club of Maynard.  He enjoyed horses, fishing, spending time with the grand kids, and “chasing my bride.”

He is survived by his wife, Karleen; three children: Tamara Halvorson of Montevideo, Kjersti (Kevin) Jaenisch of Maynard, and Shalesha Sumner of Maynard; six grandchildren: Shayne Halvorson, Kelby Jaenisch, Cody Sumner, Kaisa Jaenisch, Elsie Sumner, and Keeley Jaenisch; three brothers: Harvey (Bonnie) Williamson of Montevideo, John (Sheree) Williamson of Starbuck, and Robert (fiancé Rhonda) Williamson of Coquille, OR; four sisters: Paulette (Ralph) Jelen of St. Leo, Barbara (Roger) DeBeer of Montevideo, Mary Ann (Bruce) Anderson of Spicer, and Nan (Michael) Abel of Coon Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his in-laws, Arnold and Cynthia Siverhus; two nephews: Travis Williamson and Robert Thompson; great-nephew, Carter Williamson; and two sisters-in-law: Sonja Peterson and Carol Siverhus.
