Virgil Eugene Enevoldsen was born January 4, 1936 in Marshall, MN to Morris and Clara (Kaupang) Enevoldsen. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith on March 22, 1936 and confirmed on June 4, 1950, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Baxter. Virgil attended school in Boyd and Dawson, until he decided to stay home and work on the farm with his father. He served in the National Guard from 1954-1960. He went on to farm the family farm until the mid 70’s, when he began driving semis for Martin Twite and Jerry Bergeson later becoming an owner operator until his retirement in 2015 at the age of 79.

Virgil was united in marriage to Irene Satre on April 4, 1959 in Clarkfield, MN and to this union five daughters were born. Virgil was united in marriage to Patricia Janssen on June 5, 1993 in Watertown, SD and to this union he gained two stepdaughters and a stepson.

Virgil enjoyed his years of driving semi and also his 1800 Goldwing and many of his other various Honda motorcycles he had owned over 50 years. Virgil and Pat did a lot of traveling on their motorcycles, traveling as far west as Spokane, WA and taking many rides around Minnesota and the Midwest. They wintered in Arizona for ten plus years and would also haul their motorcycles along so they could ride year-round. He enjoyed spending time on the hill, at the VFW/Hilltop in Dawson where he played many games of cards, especially Buck Euchre. His love for cards was shared with family and friends.
