Duane Anderson

Duane Anderson died June 12, 2017 at Sanford Canby Medical Center at the age of 69.

Duane Curtis Anderson was born on November 21, 1947 in Clarkfield to Murl and Alma (Stensrud) Anderson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood.  He grew up in Cottonwood where his family farmed and raised pure bred Guernsey milk cows.  He was active in 4-H and was very proud to be from a farm family.

Duane worked a period of time in the parts department at a car dealership in Atwater.  Later, when he moved to Canby he worked at a print shop and also had his own lawn service. Duane was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Canby and the Canby Lions Club.  Later in life he was the custodian at First Presbyterian Church in Canby.

Duane is survived by two children: Sherry Stene, Canby and Marie Anderson, Maynard; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Murl and Alma Anderson.  Blessed be his memory.
